Sinuous Sculpture : Vintage Emerald and Diamond Dress Ring in 14ct Gold circa 1970

A one-of-a-kind bold, enigmatic and sculptural dress ring from the 1970s; made for cocktails and sophisticated black tie events, designed to delight and fascinate. An eye catching, luxury conversations starter. The ring is designed as an organic swirl of gold, giving it the illusion of movement. Manufacture Handmade in 14ct yellow gold with the diamonds set in white gold. There is a worn 14k stamp to the inside of the band. The gold fineness has been verified by XRF test. The makers mark is unfortunately illegible. The gemstones have been verified by an independent gemologist as a natural earth mined emerald and natural earth mined diamonds. The emerald is emerald cut and weighs 1.16 carats, it shows evidence of oil but no other treatments. It is mounted in a corner four claw v-shaped bezel. The twelve round brilliant cut diamonds are graduated in size from 1.2mm to 2.2mm diameter. They have been graded as G-H in colour and VS1-SI1 clarity, 0.26 carat total weight. The diamonds are bead set into an arch with a white gold top plate. Sits 12mm high on the finger.
